A practice defined by preparation and care
Pavonis was founded on the belief that sound legal work begins long before any document is signed — through thorough review, clear explanation, and considered advice.
Back to HomeOur Story
Established in Bangkok with a considered purpose
Pavonis was established in Bangkok to address a gap that its founders observed consistently: clients — particularly those navigating Thai law from abroad — receiving legal documents they could not properly assess, often at the moment when clarity mattered most.
The practice was built around a different premise. Rather than treating legal work as transactional, Pavonis approaches each engagement as a structured process — one where the client understands the documents in front of them and the decisions they are making.
Operating from Lan Luang Road in the heart of Bangkok, the firm has developed a particular familiarity with the intersection of Thai law and international client needs: property purchases by foreign nationals, corporate structures for businesses with overseas shareholders, and succession matters that span more than one jurisdiction.
The practice limits itself to three areas deliberately. Property and real estate, corporate governance, and family succession planning are disciplines that reward depth. Pavonis works within those boundaries and applies its full attention within them.
Mission
To provide structured, clear-sighted legal support to individuals and businesses in Thailand — where every client understands their legal position before any commitment is made.
Values
- Preparation first. We review thoroughly before we advise.
- Plain language. Legal positions are explained clearly, not obscured.
- Defined scope. Engagements are structured and transparent from the outset.
- Discretion. Client matters remain private as a matter of professional obligation.

Our Approach
Why depth matters in Thai legal practice
Thai property law presents specific challenges for buyers unfamiliar with the local system. Title deed categories — Chanote, Nor Sor 3, Nor Sor 3 Gor — carry different legal weights and different implications for security of tenure. Without professional review, a buyer may not fully appreciate the nature of the title they are acquiring.
Corporate law in Thailand, particularly as it applies to businesses with foreign shareholders, is shaped by the Foreign Business Act and associated ministerial notifications. Structuring a company in a way that achieves business objectives within this framework requires both legal knowledge and practical familiarity with how the regulatory bodies actually operate.
Succession planning under Thai civil and commercial law involves specific formalities that differ from those in many Western jurisdictions. Wills must meet formal requirements to be valid. Assets held through different structures — personal, corporate, jointly held — may each require separate consideration. A thorough plan addresses each element.
Pavonis brings this depth to each engagement because the alternative — advice that overlooks a material point — serves no one. The firm's preference for a measured, document-led process reflects a view that legal work done carefully, once, is better than work done quickly that later requires correction.
