Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 10 January 2026 · Effective Date: 10 January 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Pavonis website at pavonises and the legal services provided by Pavonis. By accessing our website or instructing us in a legal matter, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Definitions
In these Terms, the following definitions apply:
- "Pavonis", "we", "us", "our" refers to the legal practice operating at 10/7 Lan Luang Road, Wat Somanas, Pom Prap Sattru Phai, Bangkok 10100, Thailand.
- "Website" means the website accessible at pavonises.
- "Service" means any legal advisory or documentation service provided by Pavonis to a client.
- "Client", "you", "your" means any individual or entity that engages or proposes to engage Pavonis for legal services.
- "Engagement Letter" means the written confirmation of scope, fee, and timeline issued at the commencement of any service engagement.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry through our contact form or by instructing us in a legal matter, you confirm that you are aged 18 or over and have the legal capacity to enter into an agreement. If you are acting on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that entity to these Terms.
3. Nature of Our Services
Pavonis provides legal advisory services in three practice areas: property and real estate law, corporate governance advisory, and family and succession legal planning. All services are governed by Thai law and are provided within Thailand.
Our services do not extend to criminal law, medical law, litigation representation, or immigration advice. Enquiries outside these practice areas will be redirected where possible.
4. Engagement Process
No legal service engagement commences until an Engagement Letter has been signed by both parties. The Engagement Letter sets out the specific scope of work, the fixed fee, and the anticipated timeline. No chargeable work begins prior to execution of the Engagement Letter.
Any change to scope during an engagement will be discussed and agreed in writing before additional work proceeds. Clients will not be presented with charges for work not covered by the agreed scope without prior written consent.
5. Fees and Payment
Pavonis operates on a fixed-fee basis for all practice areas. Current fee ranges are:
- Property & Real Estate Legal Services: from ฿14,000
- Corporate Governance Advisory: from ฿35,500
- Family & Succession Legal Planning: from ฿48,000
Exact fees are confirmed in the Engagement Letter. Payment terms and acceptable payment methods will be specified in the Engagement Letter. Fees are quoted in Thai Baht (฿).
Third-party costs such as land office registration fees, government charges, or notarisation costs are not included in the Pavonis fee and will be passed through at cost.
6. Cancellation and Refunds
Where a client withdraws from an engagement after signing the Engagement Letter, any work completed to that point will be charged at the pro-rata rate corresponding to the fixed fee. Where no work has yet commenced, the full fee will be refunded.
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 14 business days of the cancellation being confirmed in writing.
7. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely information and documentation as required for the engagement. Where delays in providing required documents result in delays to the engagement timeline, Pavonis is not responsible for those delays.
Clients must not provide false or misleading information in connection with an engagement. Doing so may result in termination of the engagement without refund of fees paid.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Pavonis website — including text, layout, and visual elements — is the property of Pavonis and may not be reproduced without prior written consent. Documents prepared by Pavonis in the course of an engagement are provided to the client for their use in connection with that matter and may not be re-used in other contexts without Pavonis's written consent.
9. Confidentiality
Pavonis treats all client information as strictly confidential. Information disclosed in the course of an engagement will not be shared with third parties without the client's written consent, except where required by Thai law or by the professional conduct rules applicable to legal practitioners in Thailand.
10. Disclaimer
Legal advice provided by Pavonis reflects the law as it stands at the time of the engagement and in relation to the specific facts presented. Changes in law after advice is given are not the responsibility of Pavonis unless a continuing engagement specifically covers monitoring of legislative change.
Website content is provided for general information purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. No client relationship is formed through use of the website alone.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Thai law, Pavonis's liability in connection with any engagement is limited to the fee paid for that engagement. Pavonis is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from the provision of legal services or the use of this website.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement by giving written notice. Where Pavonis terminates an engagement, fees for work completed to the point of termination will be charged. Where a client terminates an engagement, Section 6 (Cancellation and Refunds) applies.
Pavonis reserves the right to decline or withdraw from an engagement where professional conduct obligations require it or where a conflict of interest arises.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any engagement with Pavonis are governed by Thai law. Any dispute arising from these Terms or from the provision of services will first be subject to good-faith discussion between the parties. Where a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, it will be referred to the courts of Bangkok, Thailand, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. General Provisions
These Terms, together with the Engagement Letter for any specific matter, constitute the entire agreement between the parties in relation to the services described. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute waiver of that right.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of the website after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Engagements in progress are governed by the Terms in effect at the time the Engagement Letter was signed unless both parties agree in writing to apply updated Terms.
